Terms of service

1. Who we are

Life Mastery ("we", "us") is operated from the Netherlands. You can reach us anytime at support@lifemasteryplatform.com or through the contact page.

2. The agreement

By creating an account or using Life Mastery (the "service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. If any provision of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

3. The service, honestly described

Life Mastery is local-first. What you create (your journal, habits, routines, reviews and more) is stored in your browser on your own device, and when you are signed in your member data syncs to our servers so it can follow you across devices; the privacy policy lists exactly what that covers. Features that are not yet live are labelled as such on the surface itself: nothing in the product pretends to work before it does.

4. Your account

Accounts are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. You sign in with an email code or a connected Google account. Keep access to your sign-in email secure: you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

5. Plans, payments and refunds

• Free plan. Free forever, no card needed. It is a real plan, not a trial.
• Paid plans. Pro and Master are offered as monthly or annual subscriptions, processed by Stripe; Elite is currently granted by invitation while the inner circle forms. Prices are shown in USD. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Founding rates. Prices shown as founding rates stay locked for as long as your subscription remains active, even after prices rise for new members.
• Money-back guarantee. New paid subscriptions carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
• Cancelling and switching. You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade anytime. Upgrades apply immediately; cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the paid period. Nothing you created is deleted when you downgrade: your data stays yours, and you can export your core practice data on every plan.

6. Your content and your data

Everything you create in Life Mastery is yours. You grant us only the limited licence we need to store, process and display that content in order to run the service for you, and nothing more. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on your private content. You can export a backup of your core practice data from Settings at any time, and our privacy policy describes exactly what lives where.

7. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and as one person: an account is personal and not for resale or shared operation. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to store or distribute unlawful content. The AI features (including the Coach) carry daily allowances to keep them sustainable; automated bulk consumption is not what an allowance is for.

8. Guidance, not professional advice

Life Mastery, including its AI features and the Coach, offers structure and guidance for personal development. It is not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and it is no substitute for a qualified professional. For decisions with serious stakes, involve one.

9. Availability and change

The service is young and evolves quickly. We work to keep it available and to improve it continuously, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can request account deletion from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first. Ending the service does not touch the data on your own device, and you can export your core practice data before closing your account.

11. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.

13. Changes to these terms

When these terms change in a way that matters, we will announce it in the app or by email before the new version applies. The date at the top always tells you when they last changed.
